Scotland Highland Retreat
with LEON LONDON & MAAYAN SHENHAR
September 27th - October 2nd, 2022
ABOUT THE RETREAT
Finally, after a long time in the making, we are happy to invite you to immerse yourself, and deepen your practice and mind in the beautiful Scottish highlands.
Those that have never experienced the wonderful culture, traditions and incredible scenes that the highlands have to offer, you are in for a truly magical treat!
For most of us (in the UK) Scotland is a retreat close to home, which eliminates the recent issues of foreign travel and provides a different experience, with unparalleled beauty.
Imagine crystal clear lochs and glens, wild deer and beautiful wildlife, picturesque heather filled landscapes, snow topped mountains, and a scenic colour palette you might never have seen before live.
Those that enjoy films like "Harry Potter“ and "Outlander” will see famous spots and scenes that will be very familiar.
ABOUT THE PRACTICE
We will have pranayama and morning and evening practice.
Morning Asana practice will be a combination of Dharma and Rocket.
There will be Workshops in arm balances and handstands and backbends,
With slower hatha, meditation and yoga nidra in the evenings.
** All practices are open to all levels from beginners to more advanced yogis.
The retreat begins with an 8-hour private coach tour of the Highlands.
We will be leaving from wonderful Edinburgh and taking a breathtaking guided tour across the highlands on the way to our destination, stoping at a local picturesque village for refreshments, before seeing the sights and being taken to our accommodation.
Down time will be scenic walks, time to explore the surroundings of Farleyer Lodge, a visit to a local distillery, and other activities TBC
We will eat vegetarian, local, traditional fayre cooked by nutritionist & Chef Sam Hamrebtan, enjoy cosy evenings around the fire and even dance Scottish cèilidh (Kay-Lee) with live music on our last night…
Tartan / kilts must be worn on this night!
Be ready for a totally different experience away from the usual retreat, and open your eyes and mind to the beautiful "place of the Gaels" the highlands of Scotland.
